It's our 40th Birthday!

As the administrator and implementer of the Embrace Iowa fundraising campaign, for over 20 years, the Community Action Network has been assisting Iowan's experiencing economic hardship by distributing the funds donated by Iowans like you to our 16 local Community Action Agencies serving all 99 counties. Your contributions are managed by the 16 local agencies and 100% of the donations are granted directly back to the families and people of Iowa in need. Last year, $411,000 were raised and utilized by the 16 local agencies to assist families and individuals in their covered counties with rental assistance, utility assistance, car repairs, beds and more.

The amount of money contributed last year increased by 52%! This is thanks to all the generous donors and patrons in Iowa!

The increase in the amount of money donated, also increases the administrative costs for organizing, managing and distributing funds. The Community Action Agencies and Iowa Community Action Association want 100% of the money fundraised to go directly back to the families. In order to achieve this we are looking for additional support to help the Community Action network bear the cost of administering Embrace Iowa funds to families and individuals.

The biggest administrative costs come from staffing time - before funds are awarded to families or individuals, the staff of each local agency will meet with each applicant to assess their needs, make a constructive plan, research costs and then execute set plan and provide funds. We want to change the lives of Iowan's and we need your help!

We are hoping you can help celebrate our milestone and 40 years of impact in the community by making a contribution to our fundraising goal of $40,000. This amount of money will aid the Community Action Network in covering a portion of the administrative costs that co-occur with Embrace Iowa support and execution, while keeping Embrace Iowa sustainable for years to come!
